The Leafline Magazine is a Literary Magazine dedicated to writers and artists, who express themselves with their heavy mind and creativity. It features poetry, fiction, non-fiction, articles, essays, plays and photography aiming to encourage writers of various fields to join together and provide a reflective experience for both experienced writers and newcomers. The Leafline Magazine does not promote A.I generated content and copied content to be published as we believe humans can express their emotions through various ways and do not need a machine to define their thoughts. The Leafline Magazine is not associated with any other institutions or organisations, it is an independent magazine. This magazine was developed and founded by Chandan Mandal in April 2026 and is currently the president of the managing board and co-editor-in-chief of The Leafline Magazine alongside the editor-in-chief who is also the member of the managing board.

Editor-in-Chief

Nim Lamu Sherpa is the Editor-in-Chief of the Leafline Magazine

Nim Lamu Sherpa is a scholar of literature from the Department of English. She is the editor in chief and also the content curator for the magazine, ensuring that it gets highlighted and reaches across globally so that more writers find a space.

Founder/Co-Editor-in-Chief

Chandan Mandal is the Founder and Co-Editor-in-Chief of The Leafline Magazine.

Chandan Mandal is a scholar of Philosophy; he is also a writer and an enthusiast of developing ideas and thoughts. He is the Founder as well as the co-editor-in-chief and Editor for submissions in Urdu/Bengali/English and the social media and email handler. He also manages official formalities of the magazine.

Editor of Nepali

Swelin Lepcha is a scholar from the Department of Nepali and presides as the Editor for submissions in Nepali. Enthusiastic and full of life, she brings a fresh perspective to everything she undertakes.

Editor of Nepali and Hindi

Sitaram Niroula is a poet from Jaigaon, West Bengal. He is a scholar from the Department of Nepali and also the Editor for submissions in Nepali and Hindi. With a deep connection to his roots, he believes in bringing more power and force for the magazine.

Managing Board

About the managing board: The managing board acts as the constitution that have the authority to grant and take power, elect and remove the Editor in Chief on specific matters with the suggestion of the advisory board only. The managing board cannot remove any member other than the EIC but can elect any member for any board. The authority for removal of the other members except of the managing board is granted to the EIC. The removal of the members from the managing board shall be done by taking collective advice from the editorial and the advisory board (This shall be done only on specific matters).

Debarati Dey is the president of the managing board of The Leafline Magazine.

An energetic scholar and dedicated individual, Debarati Dey is currently pursuing her undergraduate studies in English Literature. Driven by a deep passion for classical and contemporary narratives, she brings an enthusiastic approach to her academic pursuits and creative endeavors. Debarati’s warmth, positive presence, and dedication to her craft make her a standout contributor to the college community.

Aditya Mukharjee is the Director of photography and videography of The Leafline Magazine.

Currently navigating his second year in Microbiology, Aditya is the creative brain behind our visuals and the face of the magazine. As our DOP, he leads the charge on our photography and videography, turning quick ideas into stunning visual moments. On top of holding down the creative side behind the scenes, he also doubles as the face of our magazine, bringing a warm, authentic presence to our entire platform.
